Ok So one of the things Hubby and I enjoy doing is going 4 wheeler riding. We also love to go fishing. We were having some storage issues. When we would go riding for long periods of time we didn't have enough room for the cooler, tackle boxes, and other paraphernalia needed for a day long trip. Also, we would strap the fishing poles to the back of the 4 wheeler, and would lose line and bait. We even lost half of the pole one time, because they get caught in the trees.
We discussed this many times, then one day Hubby came home from work and said "come see what I did", which is a daily occurrence and sometimes scary. Here is the solution he came up with.
There was a slight design problem which he is in the process of correcting, but we have used this many times and it WORKS. No more storage issues.
It is an aluminum rack, which makes it fairly light weight. I can lift it myself. It attaches to the back rack.
The fishing pole rack is aluminum tubing mounted on a piece of aluminum plate then attached to the storage rack.
It holds 5 poles. We used a strap attached at each end of the rack to secure the poles in the tubing.
The small design flaw is that over time it starts to sag. I will post an update once he has finished the solution.
